Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Do I need any previous pottery experience?
Not at all! This workshop is completely beginner-friendly. I will guide you step-by-step through every stage.

Can children come on their own?
This workshop is designed as a shared creative activity, so children aged 6 to 16 must be accompanied by a participating adult (a booked ticket per person).

What should I wear or bring?
Please bring your own apron and wear clothes/shoes you don't mind getting a little clay dust on. Clay washes out easily, but comfort is key! We also recommend keeping fingernails trimmed short.

What happens if my pumpkin cracks or breaks in the kiln?
Clay can occasionally crack in high heat due to hidden air bubbles or thermal stress. While we take every precaution, pottery carries a small element of risk! In the rare event that a piece sustains major damage during firing, we will make and fire a replacement piece for you or offer an alternative remedy so you don't go home empty-handed.

When will my pumpkin be ready to collect?
Because ceramic pieces must dry thoroughly before being bisque-fired, glazed, and high-fired, your finished pumpkin will be ready for pickup approximately 3 to 4 weeks after the class.

Can you post my pumpkin if I can't collect it?
Yes! If you are visiting from out of town, postage can be arranged for a small additional shipping fee on the day.
